So got your attention, I have just recently got my self another car a VW V10 Touareg, twin turboed 5.0 V10 goes like holy crap, now to the question, I have key less entry and start and I was just pondering the possibility of repeating this on the GL1000 or any other Wing for that matter.

There isn't a lot of places one could a) hide such a system and B) how to secure it, the bike that is. I have seen a car alarm on a friends Mustang over here in the UK and his alarm shouts out "Stay away from the car you are too close" and keeps saying it till you move away at least 5 feet. So any electro/mechanical whiz kids or older guy's (no offence intended) or gals for that matter got any suggestions. If it can't be done key less maybe using the steering lock as the arming device. Hide the electronics in the seat? so it arms the alarm and at the same time disables the coils or the starter anything to disable the bike from running (we have a lot of thieves over here). So doing this would mean a thief would have to push the bike down the street with the bike shouting alternating with 135Db of alarm horn it would be eye catching. Maybe even a calling system to your cell phone that the bike is being interfered with?

I know there are trackers, so that is a possibility, the idea is to make it seemingly impossible to stop the alarm.

Any takers please. If yall think I am an idiot then Okay say so, it wont hurt me, honest.

:thanks:

I am still trying to figure out how you are mounting the Doors Ian so that you have keyless Entry on your Gl1000 :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

Well I still have the fairing, so maybe I could figure some Lambo doors fixed to the front Forks, shouldn't be too hard.

I would use this as the noisy one, I have a simpler( cheaper) version that is concealed and all tuning functions are by the remote

I am looking at using this one as the tracker. Unfortunately you would have 2 remotes but I prefer not setting the noisy one unless there is a major advantage. It seems to me in my experience the only one that gets surprised by a squawking alarm is the owner

Also thanks, the tracker I have seen, I think one that can disable your vehicle is also a plus.

The tracker seems to have all the right functions, remote start/disable, tampering sms alert and gsm tracking. I just haven't gotten around to trying one yet.

that is something to look at will fire of a e mail to them, luckily my son has just emigrated to Australia, he has joined their Navy, so maybe he can get it and send it without import duties.

Thanks.
