new member in IL

Hi there, I have been lurking for a while, but I figured I would finally speak up. I have been riding motorcycles my entire life (I am 43) but have just recently moved into a 83 goldwing aspencade. I have ridden all types of bikes, but I never even considered a goldwing before this spring. Funny thing is I have been riding bikes with bigger windshields and have always craved better wind protection (due to sensitive ears and just getting sick of the wind blast) and it never occurred to me that Honda has been making what I want to ride for over 30 years. Have to say that the goldwing has even got my wife back into riding bikes and I didn't think that was going to happen. Hopefully I will have something to share that is as beneficial as some of the posts that I have read.
