Thank you Oz! Ya I saw the 20/50 online but my boyfriend was like no way it cant be that. lol. anyways I think the 10/40w should be fine...lets hope lol.
I agree with Dan, the 20-50 is a bit too heavy for the Goldwing but recommended in Harley's. What you want to stay away from is oils with friction modifiers. Mainly due to the effect they will eventually have on your clutch. The friction modifiers will saturate the clutch disks and eventually cause slippage. I personally spend the extra money for oils formulated for motorcycles. Some believe that that since the transmission is lubricated with the engine oil the gear meshing causes the oil molecules to break down quicker. I don't know if that is a oil company sales pitch or if the transmission actually does cause the oil to break down quicker.
