Great video Brian and I like the camera location, the roads not bad either :good:

I have a few more videos that I am working on and they are all rather bad camera angles and shaky compared to this one. I kept looking at that Air Wing and thinking it would be the perfect spot for the camera... I guess I proved that thinking correct. I just wish the microphone was protected because the original audio out there in the wind is terrible!

One of the advantages with the GoPro or similar is the waterproof housing which deadens all the sound and really only allows the peak noises to come through. That said I am surprised that you can often hear me swear but I guess when it is on my helmet it is not that far from my mouth

The JVC is what they call Quad proof right out of the box - no case needed:

16.4 Feet Water Proof
4.9 Feet Shock Proof
Dust Proof (IP5X)
14°F Freeze Proof

As far as swearing... You should be glad I am editing out the parts where cagers are not pulling over and ruining a perfect ride.

Nice Vid Brian!

On the wind noise.....take a small piece of foam and electrical tape to cover the mic opening. You will still record, but kill the wind noise.

Going to give that a try the next time. I also know that if the camera is behind the windscreen, no problem, but then you have to look through the windcreen for the video.

Here is my next installment from my trip to North Calolina: Moonshiners 28 ( https://www.moonshiner28.com/ ). This is of NC 28 but it is actually a 103 ride from the Tail of the Dragon to Walhalla, South Carolina that takes you through Georgia also. Everyone flocks to the Dragon, but this one deserves more attention than what it gets: turns and scenery... what more could you ask for.

I had to edit out the parts where I was stuck behind a few cages that wouldn't pull over at the pull off's. That is also why I choose to use music instead of the audio from the camera: I have to remember when I am recording that these things will be posted on family friendly forums. :head bang:

I was doing 35 in some of them but there were some that I was rolling through them at a speed that I didn't want to look at the speedo: if I had to guess an average I would say 40-45. I didn't realize it when I was riding, but in some of those turns I was leaning over the grass on the right side. That road was a lot of FUN! My rear tire shows that I had some fun also. :hihihi:

Great road Brian.
Little traffic.

I only had to edit out three places where I was stuck behind a slow moving car. In most cases slow drivers (myself included) pulled over to let the faster cars/bikes go by, but then there are those that just don't want to move. One of the nice things about riding that area on a weekday instead of on a weekend is that it didn't happen that often.

It's a JVC ADIXXION GC-XA1. The video is pretty good but I need to try a few things with the audio...

Here is one where I have the camera mounted on the front brake reservoir so it is blocked by the windscreen, a little. This was as I was riding on the Cherohala Skyway. It gives you an idea of what I am dealing with as far as audio is concerned, but I will say that as I already mentioned, I do hear myself from time to time complaining about slow drivers.

Good view of your dash Brian, are you trying to tell us something? More great riding :good:
Some traffic riding, listen for the clunk ( high idle 1200) of selecting first at the lights. Also some scraping on the final turn of the off ramp. I edited hopefully most of the mundane traffic stuff out.

All taken with the iPhone through the screen, sound of the engine is better than the fully sealed GoPro on my helmet
