took it out for a ride tonight. Boy what a difference in the power and the sound. This bike is running swell. My wife enjoyed the ride she says, really happy with the turnout. Thank you for all the help along the way everybody. All the reply's with advice an suggestions.. Happy winger I am.. :rocks:

oh my paul ... that is beautiful bike ...sheesh the 78-79 yr bikes are the best looking when done up right sheesh :shock:
 
Super Super... Had a run last night she is doing so well. Thought I would have an issue with all the lights but no. It is charging up in the 13.7 @3grand under full load working well. Looking into gettin the seat recovered Clutch's a must...

I think that as long as your neck uses roller bearings and not ball bearings (which I believe the 78 does) you could take everything off and put a complete front end back on from the 80.
