While new to this site. The stupidest thing I've done

I owned a machine shop for many years, the weld will not hold, it will break and cause many bad words. to get the bolt out is very easy, first, never....never use an EZ-out, go to the local bolt supply house and buy left hand drill bit and a center drill, (some people who dont know better call...

    1200 Wheels

to answer your question yes, any 84 to 87 final drive will fit any 84 to 87. The only thing you need to do is use the correct flange with wheel. I have a post here titled "the wheel truth" as mentioned with a link in this thread. 84/85 are same and 86/87 are same wheel and flange.

The wheel truth-84-87 wheel / flange fit info

they don't, this is to show you there is a difference and you need to make sure you get the right flange for your wheel. I wrote this after buying what was advertised as an 86/87, it came as an 84/85, my guess is someone changed wheel and flange assy at some point and the guy parting it out...

    It was bound to happen.....

I can't believe no one has come up with the answer yet....it's so simple, you just need to buy a longer driveway so you can nose it straight into garage

Here she is, I named her, "the Wanderer "

I've got an '84 engine that had a 6mo warranty when I bought it (that ran out a long time ago, engine still in wrapping as bought), never used it. was told it has 37,000 miles on it, I have no reason to doubt it, bought many good parts from the seller, stands behind his stuff. So if you need a...

2016 vintage show at Le May Museum

Went to the vintage show again this year, took two bikes this time (had my brother ride one, too hard to shift two at a time). My '86XL600R (pictured to right of the wing) and my '86 aspy. I wondered how many people would be there this year because it was the same day as the Good Guys car show...

Lazy way to clean corroded connectors

that works pretty good, I did every plug and wire end on my aspy with an ultra sonic cleaner, they look new after, but I see how this works good for the "fix as needed" job......good post

Fan temp switch mod....I know but one more won't hurt

I have had a shop at home most of my adult life, and I forget what it was like not having the tools to do what you want. It's easy to take it for granted but I am thankful for what I have and am happy to help anyone in need if I can.

Fan temp switch mod....I know but one more won't hurt

Time for another one of my rambling posts. I had the temp switch go out on the bike and was able to get it home before it boiled all the water out. I thought about buying a stock switch but then thought someday they may not be available so, I got the Duralast SW648 switch and went to wrecking...
