I guess I'm confused. If you use a power wire from the battery to the tail lights won't they stay lit as long as its plugged into the bike??????

HEY!!!!!!! I did that to my boys' big wheels back in the day. I had a couple old c.b. radios and some old antennae parts and duct taped them on. The boys thought they were cool. Ofcourse I ALWAYS had a c.b. in my vehicles and still have a base station.
