From Chapter G website:
The 2011 Midnight Ride will be held on August 19/20, 2011.
Our starting point for the ride is the Meijer store parking lot in Rockford, Michigan which is located at the corner of 10 Mile Rd. and U.S. 131, at Exit 97.
We will leave at exactly 11:59:59 p.m. on Friday, August 19th, arrive in St. Ignace and the Kewadin Casino Saturday morning the 20th, about 8:30.
Hope to see you there... Ride Safe

I will be joining the ride in Alma, MI. at the walmart parking lot. I beleive thats the first stop and they have coffee and doughnuts for all the bikers.
This is a huge ride... and I'll try to get some video or pictures from last year for you all ;)

Nope,I was down by the IN border meeting a friend coming back from a 4 day oddesy, riding all night through rain and whatever, sleeping in parks and gas stations,on a $20.00/day budget riding an old CB750.I guess he was trying to prove to himself he could still do it.

I havent had the sidecar back on this year, not untell the wife is back to riding,by then the youngest will grow up,and I will probably end up selling it before I put it back on,,but its hard to say right now.

I almost turned around and fallowed this guy... he was riding a wing with round headlight, and had a narrow-ish sidecar.. dark paint.
I waived and stayed on the throttle thinking "hummm... I should know that guy"
the wife wanted a ride, and I had just washed her all up...... the bike not the wife. LOL

Did you make the ride?
I looked for you at ALMA and GAYLORD (I skipped houghton lake and stopped at grayling)

It was a perfect ride this year with excellant weather.
Unfortunitly about the time I got there my wife called and my son was in a wreck and I had to turn back around and race the 250 miles back home. With no sleep ofcourse.

I didnt make the trip this year, I planned a trip to gilson car museum in hickory corners... but didnt make that one either because the rain comming in on saturday..
a friend called me from alma and told me about the crowd in the new wallmart parking lot... he didnt make the full ride either.

just seems like we cant hookup.... I want to try that car museum ride again befor fall... arent you close to K-zoo? or GR?

The boy will be fine,He was released from the hospital wednesday a little worse for wear.

Yes,the GILLMORE car museum isnt to far from me and I attend a few of there events every year including the classic bike ride and classic bike show as well as the mad dog and englishman show.

Probably one of the finest auto museums Ive ever seen, and now has a bike building.
