My Interstate has been running pretty good this summer with the exception of one issue! The speedometer and cable will make an intermittent buzzing sound along with the needle bouncing all over the dial. Happens more in the beginning of a ride but never really goes away. I replaced the cable and removed the gauge and put in in a drop or two of WD where the cable goes into the back of the Speedo. Didn’t seem to do much. When it’s buzzing the noise is mainly coming from the speedometer.
Any suggestions?

The hard part about the buzzing in a speedometer (or tachometer) is that drops of oil only make it to where the tang enters (and spins) the meter. The buzzing comes from the other side of the meter (inside). Still only a drop of oil needed, but the unit needs to come apart to get to the flyweight that spins the needle.

That’s kinda what I as afraid of, can they be taken apart and lubricated?
