Location
Ardmore Ok.
I was just wondering if there was a way to get a streetview then save it, I was wanting to save a photo of my old grade school before it is torn down but it is in Canton Ohio, I can get a street view and when I tried to save the usual menu didn't show up, was wanting to save that and my old family home etc.
Thanks.

An easy way to do it is, while the picture is on your screen, Hold down the Ctrl button and push the Print Screen key. Then open a new word or wordpad document, right click your mouse on a blank spot in the document and select paste.

Thanks for the tip, just one other thing. At the moment my printer is low maybe out of ink, can I save the screen shot to my pic file and print later or is it a one shot deal.
Thanks.
OK, I guess it would be saved in word pad..correct, then can be moved where I want.

What operating system are you using Jeff? Snipping Tool lets you select a portion of your display and save that as a picture, but I don't think that became avaialble until Windows 7 or later.

Windows 7 has a snipping feature I use often.
Start menu, search "snipping".
With it you can drag the lines to capture specific parts of the screen then save the pic to your computer.

Brian beat me to it.

Are you saying that my Windows '98 won't do that? :headscratch: :smilie_happy:

Your flip phone won't take a picture of it either.

Any semi-modern Windows version has "Paint". Hit the "Print Screen/SysRq" button on your keyboard to capture the screenshot, then go to "Paint", click on "Paste", then "Save As...". You can print, email, edit, whatever you want from there, and the file is saved to your puter until you(or windows update/crash  ) deletes it.. :laptop: :good:

Thanks guys, I`ll try both, using win7, been a couple years since I last tried with Xp then gave up and just thought about it today. Time to google then scoot down the streets because I don't know the exact location but found it once before.
Edit; Beautiful!!...snipping works like a charm..thanks again.
Here`s a pic of the old defunct school, looked better in better days, lots of memories there.

Pontoon boat looks pretty good though Jeff....
There is a good size river about 1/8 mile down the road, went swimming in the summer and ice skated on it in the winter, looks like it was for sale.

Luckily where we live anywhere that we can swim you can never skate on! :smilie_happy:
