Need a single carb top for 77 GL1000......or knowledge of where/how to replace broken"button" on top. All I can seem to locate are decorative coverups,not the domed button itself.Marked 2,6 inside

Decorative coverups will do just fine. Some have used change epoxied in place. You could use an epoxy metal mender product or JB Weld. as long as the top is sealed. It will function just fine.
just don't plug the little hole up. i used liqiud steel needed it and plced on all mine worked great.
