Here is a listing that should be ok on eBay. Item 111002573977
I would recommend emailing the seller and confirming that this is a Mofset regulator before purchasing even though it shows a part number of FH002 in the picture.

Shipping: Does not ship to United States

Can't get there from here! LOL

On their full description page it does show shipping to the States so maybe you have to request it in an email and they will set it up for you. There may be other sellers out there with a similar product, this was just the first new one I found. The Mofset units were used by other manufactures in other applications as well, just concerntrate on the FH series. I actually preferred to find a secondhand oem unit but that does take a lot more effort.

Instead of running at full out put down the 3 phase wires ( yellow ones ) all the time you only run the output that is required. This mod is really only benificial if you are using LEDs and HIDs to reduce circuit loads as the standard output is only about 300w (22-25 amps). With a Mofset unit there will be more stable voltage due to the switching nature of the ICs over the sink to ground nature of the standard R/R.

If you search Mofset on the forum you will see other threads worth reading

Gotcha - Since I've switched to an HID headlight and LED lamps, I need to consider this....you too, Dan!

Well, that answers that......back to the $99 listing....

onward and upward!

Seems like a worthwhile mod John.
You should go for that one $99. I've looked around some and that's the best deal yet.
I have an external alternator, though I would like to get back to the stock charging system.

Pretty sure 01 and up are all FH type and say FH on the regulator either from Yamaha,Honda,Suzuki. You dont really need a Honda Regulator ,they all probably come from the same source.
I would just look for a new or cheaper used unit for whatever bike that fits your wallet. Might be off on the year it started but at some point they all went to Mosfet.

+1 on any brand but there are non Mofset regulators being built and used now due to the lower cost, newer than 01 is not a guarantee. With the CBR600 they were only around 05-08 and went back to the cheaper option.

A question:

Since the stator is putting out full power all the time, how does the MOSFET R/R help us?
:beg: I guess I can't answer that to myself, so I'll ask for your help :beg:

I'm trying to figure out the relationship between a constant output stator and a MOSFET regulator and any gains....Help me!

Simply put, a mosfet will demand output from the stator only what's needed instead of 100% ALL the time.
This is only an advantage if loads are reduced on the bike to get stator demand below it's full output of 300 watts.

im right there with you john sometimes I have to pounded hard with the truth to see it ...better than being with your head in the sand ... seems to make since to me now ....and it seems simple too ... if the wires are connected theres no demand ...sheesh .... sometimes you just want to slam the door on your head for being so stupid ... :help:

Ansimp & Dan: Sometimes it takes a while for things to sink in.....longer and longer as I go kicking and screaming into old age....... :sensored:

That's because you have spent too much time submerged in areas of increased pressure Ship-Mate. It has nothing to do with age!!!! :smilie_happy:

I wasn't going to say anything Chief, but that recycled air is a bummer! :smilie_happy:
