It looks like you have your work cut out for you. Over the years I have dealt with a few electrical fires on customers equipment. Two things are common, placing too many things on one circuit, and putting high amp fuses where they don't belong. Meaning if the 10 amp fuse keeps blowing, put a forty amp fuse in. That is a sure fire way to start a fire. One bright customer replace a twenty amp circuit breaker with a roll pin, didn't take him long to find the short.
We now know what makes electricity work, it is smoke, let the smoke out, and it doesn't work anymore.
