:help: Yamaha bug bite...almost a Harley, but must admit, the Yamaha was a great buy. Unfortunately, the GW went to sitting. gotta clean the carbs out again, gonna put the 1200 springs in the shocks and repair a leaking air line and were rolling again (big story behind the yamaha...so glad im still alive, much less in the kinda shape I am)

WOW!!! So, how hard was it to get the engine out? Looks like I might b able to get the roadstar fixed next month which means now, thru the winter I can do the much needed clutches and oil pump p/up clean out

Not hard at all. We (meaning my daughters and me) have pulled and swapped 3 engines between two frames and it just takes a little time.

My then 16 year old daughter pulled the '82 engine out and had it on the floor in about 4 hours with assistance from me getting the carbs out and disconnecting the drive shaft.
