Early 60's is my best guess. Should be a data plate on them somewhere. If they run they can still fetch a good price. Low hp outboards are always in demand due to the restrictions in place almost everywhere.
 
The one on top is a mercury super 5 from the 50's. My dad bought one brand new for $199.
As far as worth not much unless it runs. Not a big demand so even a spare parts motor goes cheap.
 
The merc will run better and not foul plugs @ 50/1 with TCW3 two stroke oil.
Never said anything about not being cool
