Are you thinking about Allegheny National Forest in September????

I have too many trips myself or I would have the $$$$ to buy it just for all the goodies!

$750
Yup, boys and girls - :beg: just a measly $750 :beg: - who'll be the first to step up?
My gosh John, that is giving it away! (I still do not have enough cash to even finish getting my '82 back on the road, but would love to have that bike!) :crying:

Unfortunately John, I think you're the victim of a lot of bad circumstances. I admit I thought about it and added up a few numbers.
$750 for the bike
$300 in gas and two days driving to get it. (my truck doesn't get very good gas mileage pulling the trailer)
$300 more or less for a take a chance engine (engine and getting it here). I have no interest in splitting the case and by the time you buy a head and gaskets, you're close to there anyway.
I have seen it and it is for sure a pretty bike and has a lot of nice things going for it but it's tough for a buyer to get past the fact that it doesn't run and has a major, major issue.
So your market is somebody that has the money, ability, place to do it, and desire to spend quite a bit of time right at the beginning of riding season to bring it back to life.
Because all of us here love older Goldwings, I think sometimes we overestimate their value. With patience and cash in hand you can find some real values. I'm just guessing but I bet $15-1600 would buy this. I haven't seen it and I know sometimes pictures can be decieving but just saying,

Ok, let the arrows fly. Best of luck to you.

Jeff-
Thanks! I just do not have the time, however, to do a motor swap; hence my reason for selling the bike as is. Too many volunteer obligations and too many trips :clapping:

I think I finally have it sold :clapping: :clapping: I'm swapping the bike for automotive work - a fella with a GL1100 owns his own repair shop and we worked a deal - he gets the bike, I get a credit on shop services....a win/win in my book :music:
