Sheesh !!!!!! Every time I do one of these I struggle with the darn snap ring ! It is so small and deep in there i just cant get any of my pliers in there. I just put it down for the night. Some times taking a break from it is the thing to do.
 
Whit the right tools, they come out eazy.

Flash2002,,,, I agree and have almost every snap ring plier known to man in my tool box. Still couldn't get that one to budge. I have it soaking over night to see if it loosens up.
 
When the clips are stuck, I use a fine center punch to grab the clip to break it loose, then I go with the clip pliers and pull it out. If you'r going to rebuild, you can always heat the part with a torch a bit, it might help.
