Hey y'all, new to the site. Been around the goldwing world for a few years. Know some of y'all from the Facebook pages. A friend sent me this way to read up on a build I have going to see how how Joedrum did it to Hooch and I love this site. Alot of knowledge I have read and seen on here already. Have 3 wings. 1 is on the road 365 days a year the other 2 are being built to take on the world of performance powersports. Thanks for letting me in.

Welcome to classic ...I am joedrum...start a thread about your bikes and your plans ...we all have some very wide knowledge about oldwings much different than other forums out there ...no sponsor butt kissing ..I like to say members first forum ...again welcome to classic..

Welcome to the site from New Jersey! :clapping:

Thank you, I have a good friend actually from Middleton New Jersey who is the chapter director, I believe, of the goldwing road riders association.

Will be posting my build in a thread. In the middle of an out of state move to the great state of Georgia so things are on hold for a couple of months. Thanks for the warm welcome from everyone. Looking forward to being a contributing member.

Performance powersports. This is going to be interesting!

Just because everybody THINKS an Oldwing is just your grampas bike, doesn’t mean they have to be right. My 1100 is quite enjoyable at 100mph and still a good bit left. Love the big jets and the k1 cams. Great combination.

This is only a dusting of the surface of much more hidden within. The design of the GL engine actually started as the M1, a 1470cc flat six, eventually became Project 371... and while these were intended for touring, rather than racing, the engineer that led it's development was Soichiro Irimajiri... developer of the RA273...

the flat four would have no problem being the first genuine 'superbike'... and there's absolutely no reason why it couldn't wipe the smile off other bikes' faces in a big hurry without anything but the common hotrodding concepts of the day.
