have owned GL1000K1 from new in 1977.
had sidecar fitted 3 years ago.
current problem involves replacement of 7v
regulator which discontinued by Honda.

Welcome to the forum..Isn't it a 3 prong linear voltage regulator? ..12 volts in and 7 volts out, if so they can be had from Mouser, let me do some looking.
Maybe this.

+1 on an electronic replacement
Welcome from Oz

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
Glad to know there is an alternative available.
Does the fact i've changed to electronic ignition have any bearing on this problem?

Below i've attached pic of my outfit.

Ignition is a completely separate circuit and should have no bearing at all on the 7v regulator. Welcome to the fun here.

Your sidecar is uber cool.
+1 :good: and the fact that you have owned your GW for quite awhile :clapping:
