Don't know what kind of Jardine pipes you have but smartpartz.com claims to make a baffle to quite pipes
Yes But I would need to look at the pipe. My concern was the bluing but some say there a single wall pipe causes the bluing. Also accel coils. I will look into this baffle thing thank you.

Agreed too much back pressure is more of a problem than not enough. I have a pair of sportster mufflers I think but I haven't installed them yet. I've read though that HD mufflers each have their own back pressure (different) so some have bought two of one side. Not sure if that is needed or makes a real difference.

I have a friend on the west coast that told me how big to drill the hole in the plate for the pipes. I will expect them in soon. Picked up a set off a FLT 1400/cc and up for 9.00 amd 25.00 to ship so I wont be out much if there is a issue..,

Everything I've read that is the right (close) pipe for the bike.

You can literally put any exhaust you want on the wings and it wont hurt anything. The big problem is when you start fiddling with the intake. My advise, run the pipes you want but leave the intake alone. If you do a single carb conversion tho all bets are off and without a doubt you will have to do a bit of tuning before its right.
