My biggest problem doing this is to actually look at mileage on the second fill up LOL....sometimes I can go about 5 tanks before I put both steps together....
For me, I fill the tank up to the bottom of the gas tank neck, set the odometer to zero, ride til reserve is needed and then go and fill the tank again. I then check the gallons in to fill to the bottom of the neck again against the actual miles on the odometer.
