had a chance to ride around rogers city this weekend so I took the bike and rode along with wife daughter and friend in the car...
once we got to the games, me and the wife took off and took some rides around the area "up north".
best part of 3 days. and 500+ miles on the bike.
I feel better about riding every time out now.
we seen some beautiful shoreline and scenic traps.
met a couple from IN. on a 1200. they were heading for Mackinac island.
and besides when I try to run premium gas, the bike run excellent.
I continue to get comments, even on the rusty parts
seems alot of people like the looks of these old bikes compaired to the newer ones.
I surprised a guy when he asked me what year it was.. he was shocked.... all he could say was... "27 years old, WOW"
then I fired her up and she "puffed" a quick bit of smoke.. LOL
anyway, we had a blast. and to date thats the longest ride I'v taken since 1990.
I rode home about 3hrs. with 2 stops for fuel and streching...
