Date is set........ August 3rd weekend for the 2nd CGW Midwest Meet and Greet!

I will fly to Chicago where I'm meeting up with Piper15T who has generously offered his 83 1100 for me to ride to Joe's and back up to his place!
Piper will be riding his '95 1500.

We will leave his place in Chicago Friday morning August 2nd early.
The ride will be a leisurely 6-8 hours. No hurry.
I'm thinking we'd detour a bit through Indianapolis where we'd hook up with slabghost and others from the East.

We'll then ride back to Chicago on Monday morning(ish).

So come one come all!!

Speak up here if you can make it so we can exchange cell numbers and decide on the route so we can hook up with as many riders as we can!
We're hoping since we're coming down from the North that other Northerners will join up!

Ride route:

I will plan to see you aug 3.

any who want to meet at the house of pancakes in columbus oh chime in and we can ride from there on our own and meet up either in indy or just ride south on 71.

Dan when I click on your map I get a 1/4 inch at the top of the page of the map very hard to see it when enlarged.

Let me make a small correction to Dan's post. I actually live about 45 miles southwest of Chicago in a town named Sandwich, (let the snickers begin) so anybody from the northern midwest that would care to go with us doesn't have to worry about Chicago traffic. Leaving here for Indianapolis doesn't go close to Chicago, even though Dan's posted map shows it that way. The trip can be as much, or as little, Interstate riding as you decide.

I have penciled in the date!! :clapping:
What's up with the pencil
:smilie_happy: You know my history! Every time I say "Here goes!" something else out of my control pops up! I am inclined to have to wait until closer to late spring before I can fully commit to going (although it is now a planned trip in my book!).
