just need some good old info. has anyone ever used anything but airshocks on a aspencade. fixing to either rebuild oem shocks but might change to progressive non air any ideas. thnx steve84

i went with progressive 412's on my 1200 wing rather than air shocks. problem is that the bags need to be removed to adjust the shocks. if the shocks are set to carry a passenger they are too firm for solo riding. i'll be switching back to air shocks once i fix the compressor

The adjusting is main negative that I see... adding progressive springs set to the air shocks would be a good compromise.. Aapple has a tutorial/how I did my airshocks on here.. he did a tear down on his and clean the whole shebang.. then reassembled then.. using progressive springs

Is the tutorial listed in the topics here from Aapple for the shock rebuild?
