I have been working on the 1981 1100 trying to figure out this single carb update. All seems to be going ok but I noticed that the throttle effort is really hi. The cable was lubed before I started and seemed to work fine. In this instillation I did not shorten the cable. But once together it doesn't move freely and requires more effort that I feel it should. I have to do more checking but just wondering if anyone else has had this issue when converting to single carb? Thanks JohnB

Double check the routing and for kinks
Thanks for the info.I see you are a Brother in Arms I was in 71-75 was a great experience. I found out while working on it today the hole in the handlebars that is to keep the switch /throttle mounting from moving is in a little too far causing binding, moved that and is working ok. JohnB
