Tank Rack, Opinions?

I have a history with old Triumphs and as a result kind of like the look of the aftermarket tank racks. Are there any downsides to these? It would match my saddlebag racks. I think my old magnetic tank bag could be modified to mount right on it and I could still fill the gas. Opinions?

Looks good to me but it might block your view of guages.

And maybe prevent opening the second lid very far.
