Yep believe 80-81 were the same, :yes: 82 & 83 share many parts, but believe 83 has a few changes, with some different parts. :headscratch: Could be wrong, but for some reason it seems like i read it somewhere. Think wheels & tires are the same on both though :salute:

when it comes to 80-81 and 82-83 1100s ..it like they have absolutly nothing in common .. :shock:

gears are all different in them ...one the tallest geared oldwing motor and the other is the lowest geared oldwing motor 82 a bit different than all the others in gearing on 1100s
 
Dan that looks like the plastic inner fender is not correctly in place or got jammed... only place to get that rub from.... or the swingarm ...maybe picked up debris? ...
