I received my uni-link today,i wanted to mount it on the accel pump side of the carb(dft),but it gets in the way of the pump housing.so for right now,its on the other side facing the front of the bike.im just curious what you other dft'ers have done.the pic shows the way the carb is mounted now.

Update:i turned the carb with the uni on the right side of the frame,i think that might work better.more tomorrow
 
i didn't use a uni link, i welded the cable wheel from a stock carb rack to the stock arm of the dft, and used the orig rack 2 cable mount with a bracket welded to it to hold the 2 cables as i wanted to keep the push pull design, i did away with the heavy return spring 'cause i wanted my throttle to stay put while i am riding. i think i have a couple of pic's in my album... works bitchen.

I did basically the same thing. Works well.
 
Ok,good news so far,i have the throttle connected,seems like it will do ok.thanks for the suggestions
