No, it doesn't make sense (theoreticaly) but electrical can be a wiley one. Where/how are you getting that reading? What other electrical loads are in play at higher speeds?
I don't think you're going fast enough to make the headlight work harder pushing the photons out!
 
No accessories. All stock 1979 to my knowledge. Reading is strictly from the tank gauge. Just running at 70 I noticed the meter reading around 11 volts. I'd never seen it that low but this is a new acquisition so I'm seen trying to figure it all out. Thanks for info.
