Does that make you legal 24 hours a day now? Congrats!

Funny thing... I wasn't allowed and alcohol in my blood at all, but now that I got my full license I am.... go figure.... Not that it's a problem, I very rarely have a drink and the last thing I would want to do is get on the bike after a few.

Do they make you go around the cones and follow a line on the road?
Must be tricky on a oldwing.

Not here, it's just a road test. Much the same as a car license except they follow you in a car and give you a radio and tell you where to go. The M1 test is just a written one and you have 90 days to get your M2 license, that one is good for 5 years. In order to get my M2 I took the course and we did the cones thing then. They supplied the bikes for the weekend and the test but they were 150cc or 200cc and maybe the odd 300cc.

Here in PA they require those with permits be be off of the road at sun-down. i guess they are worried about the riders turning into pumpkins!

Here in Oz we do the cones, slow ride, panic stop etc and then a major ride with the instructor tagging behind. You must hold a restricted motorcycle license ( up to 660cc but some rocket ships have too much power to weight) for 12 months and then you get to do all the tests again on an open class bike....
