:thanks: Jeff!

My old fork brace had a crack in it, but my GL1100 rode so smooth, I believe you will love your new accessory.

Safe travels, Bob!

Hi all so I have had my new (to me) frame blasted to see the rust and it is reel good, however there are a few problems, see pictures below, from the bottom of the sub frame there were a few holes which I have cut out and there is a lot of weld to see there too. I think this has been repaired before, any offers yes or no, and a small hole under the main stand where the ears hit the cross frame. I will also repair those. what do all think good frame or ??

Okay so I made up a plate to cover the gap I created and shaped it to fit and got out the Mig welder, after a few balls up starts I finely got it going right (well to my idea of right) and managed to fill the small holes too and using a flap wheel grind off most of the unwanted ugly weld. See below. So I need to make up another plate for the main stand that has a hole in it and strengthen the the centre stand cross member. Just out of interest, is there any way of removing the pivot? mine is a bit stuck if I try and knock it out and through then it just stops.

anyway pictures of what I have done will go on in the morning. OH BEFORE I forget, the rest of the fram is OK, but there are a lot of small pok marks all over the frame, especially on flat areas, mounting points etc. Does anyone know if I can epoxy fill the small pok marks then powder coat over it, or use something else?

I suppose powder coat over Bondo is Ok. I don't see why not.
Maybe best someone that's done it before replies before relying on me. I'm not a painter though I have done lots of Bondo work.

Rolling frame is back and centerstand cross bar is welded back in!! Paint the radiator, shroud and motor. Last coat of clear on the engine. Check valves, timing belts and install new polished aluminium valve covers!

Making progress!
