i started out in my van but a broken brake line had me creep it back home and park it. i had been neglecting the 1500 wing since getting the mighty ST13 so with the wing warming up i locked up the house. i took Schafer rd. south and then took I-94 east and exited at north river rd. in mount Clemens, mi. and made a stop at gibralter trade center to check on a class and have some patches put on my vest . from there i too I-94 west then 13 mile rd. east and made a right on Jefferson ave. so i could see lake saint Claire on the way to mom's house. once at mom's i gave her the fudge and coffee mug i picked up in mackinaw yesterday, we talked for a couple hours the i left and went to belle isle. from there i rode through part of downtown before making my way home

They are a good bit bigger, more comfy ride, but like any stock wing, they need front, & rear suspension upgrades :whistling:

i do too.... love 1500s ..but there to big for my broken down frame i have nowdays i have to have a diet dresser and thats all i can handle anymore
if the handlebar location on the mighty ST is ok for you it might be a better overall bike for you than a 1500 wing and the mighty ST13 weighs about as much as a 1200 wing with a lot more power. you are welcome to test ride my ST13 the next time we meet up

put 250 miles on this weekend.the wind had me sideways Friday, got a motel,so I can sleep 12 feet from bike.chilly weather, bike ran great.fought the wind all weekend.went to Claremont, ill.where I met my wife 20 years ago.need to get out more.. :salute: :moped: :music:

After a couple of months of neglect, I got my wing out yesterday and went for a ride, while she loved being ridden again, she made me work a bit to get her running right. I had to stop at a buddies house and clean the plugs off to make it where I was headed, but she purred for me afterwards! [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

took off all the rear stuff and rebuilt my air shocks and installed new rear brake pads..
The bump stops were gone just rubber goo since I didn't know where to get them I improvised some from ace hardware at $1.26 each and rubber dust covers from autozone part number in the pics

Repairing almost any shock is possible, it's just having the confidence to do it, first time for everything. for me the question is is it worth the cost, to date I haven't found anyone that can supply me a rebuild kit in the UK, I did try one company but after 3 calls to them and leaving my name and number clearly they have enough money and don't want my business. So I am in the process of buying new ones. But you rebuild looks great.

Rode it to work this morning. I think it might soon be time to put the liner in the jacket. :(

That looks like fun!

Found out that the rear shocks I bought in 97 from Progressive, can't be rebuilt, they have no parts:(
So I guess I live with slow air leak till I can get some new.

What parts? :headscratch: Last summer, i ordered seals, springs, dampers, & boots for one of my 84 standards, rebuilt those, & a couple other sets replaced the seals, boots, & springs, with no issues. :good:Believe i may have a set of seals, Honda seals will work in them
