I'd start with removing the sissy bar. Change oil, belts, and check compression. Pull the carbs, strap the engine to a cart and roll it out (two doubled 2x4s screwed to a Harbor Freight furniture dolly worked well fo me). Then as Joe said, it is a blank canvas. It's a long way from a true restoration, but most all other options are open. Just a warning - with the obviohs mods visible, there is no telling what you may find hidden. And, why Oh why did they switch to Comstars on the back? 1100 rear end?

I suggest you dream up a new superhero for yourself to become and build this to be your theme ride. But first we have to fix the heater in your garage or its going to be a loooong winter.

Take it all apart and see what you need as parts then, put it all back together and you will come up with a build. I bought a few wings that where in that shape and brought them back to life, went from ugly to nice.

Wasn't going to wade in here, but 'tis the season. Sure is ugly, but the saving grace is that these are very robust bikes and engines, and has been shown, can be brought back from the abyss. Cheers

Thanks for all the encouragement and comments. For now I have done what I can to insure that it doesn't degrade further and will find a corner of the garage to park it.
I want to spend my time and money on getting the 80 up and running before I get too deep in to this one.
