Got it apart today, Quit easy to do. I started to remove the chrome retainer ring on the side hidden by the center instrument panel...easier to hide any mistakes. Started by using vice grip needle nose to get the first bend in the ring, then used a cheap screwdriver that I had bent some time ago.
Super glue and painted plastic (no Bueno). It will remove paint on the area it's applied to. Well, now "FrankenBike" has some good scars on his face.
It will do for now, I don't look at it that much anyway. :whistling:
But, I will keep my eyes open for a replacement faceplate.
