Went out this morning and cranked her over and it spun right up. Before I rebuilt the starter clutch, a cold night and a cool morning meant having to spin it several times before the clutch would catch and spin the motor over. Considering that it was not that dirty, I wonder if the real problem was the springs getting weak from all the those heat cycles over the years.
