well I'm wing-less and bikes less for a few days. my friend is doing the alternator conversion on the 1200 wing, the battery is dead on the 750f, my neighbor is out of town and the cb450 is locked in her garage, and the front wheel bearings are shot on the 1500 wing

Time to buy another bike! :smilie_happy:

I'm hoping to get the super-K back on the road next year but a new or another bike is two years in the future, my niece is going to buy my 1200 wing

Finally got the Rats Nest all back together. Gave it a reasonable wash and polish but didn't get too carried away as I want to ride it soon and the driveway is wet with rain and a little slippery ( least no dust).
Repaired the lock spring on the RH Vetter pannier that was broken.

Well, I am making leather gaskets for the carb conversion., oh, and I pulled the adapter off so I can get a plate machined to handle the 2 into one barrel piece that we put on the plenum. I mounted the carb right on the plenum after a bit of dremel work. I have to be honest, it runs out smoother, is stronger, and breathes easier without the adapter. I am sure its because of the vacuum issues I create with my poor machining and cabinet skills. I am having one built though, in trade for servicing an old CB100 trail bike. Will keep you posted.

SO! Yesterday was a good day. 87* sunny. took the 1500 and wife for a little ride. Lift about noon went up I80 to

Truckee, north on 89, though Sierraville to 70 through Quincy on to Oroville, Marysville and 65 to
Lincoln, and Roseville and Home. 311 miles riding double and getting 35.5 MPG. Man what a ride. AND the wife Loved it!!!!!!!!

Hello everybody.

I want to let you all know I'm doing fine an still working hard at my job. I have ordered up all the parts I need to put the OldWing back together.. Clutch's cooling system an all the gaskets. Looks Like i'll have enough left over to get a couple new things for the bike. I haven't decided yet what that mite be.. If there is anything anybody mite think that would be cool let me know.. I am looking for another motor to have as a spare anything that can be shoved into the 1000 frame with goo shape would be fine as long as the money is right.. Thank you for all that has helped me along the way Joe Steve Dan an the rest I can't think of at the moment. Somehow things have turned a corner for me an I'm able to move forward quicker than ever before.. So that is super Cool :rocks: .. Once again thanks for all the help. Hope to have a look around the 2dtf form page. cause that is in the works with the other things to come. I'm sure by now that the rich Idle an runner is figured out. I haven't had anytime to do much other than work eat shower an sleep. 108 hrs with Sundays not figure into the hrs here listed. An some cash off the books demoing the new Building an running some work in there too. Making a name for myself in the company . Okay Ive babbled enough.. :laptop:

Good to hear Craftsman!

I cleaned the windshield and mirrors today, less rain means she stays cleaner these days. Going to be changing front speakers soon because the front left is blown. I'm wearing better gear these days due to the highway commuting and the K&M speakers/mic stuff does not fit in my new full helmet, almost scraped my ears off when I tried to put it on. :sensored:

Craftman, may I suggest holding onto any extra bike bucks for:
1) those unexpected things that ALWAYS crop up,
2) gas
3) tires
4) more gas.

Good luck!
+1 :good: :moped:
