i have a 84 gl1200 interstate i am bringing back to life. all the plastics were busted,raido ect were missing. i got a farinig from a 84 aspencade(also busted) but everything was in it. so i took everyting outa the aspencade fariring. to make everything work in the interstate do i need to swap...
a friend of mine just bought a nice 83 interstate but, it came without a starter. the seller said it ran but who knows. can it be push started?? or will the starter gear and chain get tangled up in somethin? dont want to put a bunch of money in it if it dont run. Thanks
i thought it was fast but didnt really know how fast. finally got my GPS hooked up. well its 5mph fast at 30,50 and 60. can ya change speedo gears like in a car. or do i have to put a small front tire on.
first off its NOT a outa the box bolt-on and go swap that some have said :rant: ,you need to take off idel fuel shut off solenoid(or hook it up) and plug the hole just ta get it to run. then its jetted WAYYY to lean on the primary side. my plugs were white(like new) and my temp gauge was at...
found it on CL,it wasent all together,showed 40,000,was told it ran,bought it anyways,gave $600

what are some BOLT ON mod that can be done to a 81 1100?? like wheels, maybe a complete front end to get the wheels. i really like the 1200 wheels. how bout the intake setup from a 1200. what can be uesd from the 1200 for my 1100
