Are the 1000 and 1100 engine cases identical (except for the piston bore size)? I see that the stroke is the same. If so, could the 1000 case be bored out to use 1100 standard size pistons? Just wonderin'... Mike

Hi all, I recently acquired a new 1100 fairing. It's never been on a bike. I was going to use it on my project but decided I didn't want to repaint everything else. So I was thinking of selling it but didn't know what it was worth. Any ideas? Thanks

https://youtu.be/-LcUG5N68is The donor bike engine runs! The video shows it after it is completely warmed up. The carb is the Weber 32/34 with homemade heated manifold. I believe the idle screw is more than two turns open so probably need a bigger idle jet. Will need to do more tuning but...

Before too long I'll be trying to fire up the motor on my donor bike. It has sat for a while but I have it turning freely. Changed the belts and adjusted the valves. I'm wanting to clean out the crankcase. Can I use any cheaper oil with some ATF for the process? Mike

Probably an elementary question but I'll ask it anyway. On the carbs I have, there are only two numbers on the main gas jets, like 05, 10, and 15. But on posts I read, I see numbers like 105 or 120. Is the "1" before the final two digits assumed? Mike
