That's a good question, I have accidently put too much pressure in mine a couple of times and it seems the excess pressure just blows by the seal. Obviously if you distort the seal service it isn't going to hold, and I assume that would be the case with really hight pressure. I have a small pressure regulator for my air brush, I crank the pressure down to where I want it, (Normally about 8/bs) and air both front and real the same way, rear norally about 40 for me, but I weight 260.

I just purchased a fork brace. Are there any special instructions for install?
Not really just assemble it on the forks without tightening any bolts at first then tighten the clamps then the brace bolts to the clamps.

Which is the front? Or does it matter

Okay, will try that.

My wing is a 1000 and the brace I got was off of an 1100, I had to shim the brace to make it fit my forks. If you find your brace is to large to tighten up around your forks, you can use a soda can cut down to wrap around and make up the difference.

Yeah, but you've helped me with many other issues on this bike.

Just completed rebuild of forks again. 8 oz of 15w fork oil in each one this time. still progressive springs with 17 lbs air pressure and it seems to ride okay. Also attached fork stabilizer but really cant tell any difference yet.
My speedo is bouncing a bit. Thought i oiled it pretty good.
Causes of a bouncing speedo?
