These low 30's mornings suck. How do you guys stand it!?

Me? I love it!! I wouldn't trade my seasons off for anything! Cold mornings are invigorating to me. I spent a lot of time out at sea with cold wind and salt spray on the face and it was great! Riding in the 40's (like last week) is also really nice because the air is usually crisp, fireplaces are pumping out that wonderful smell and the bike seems to really like those temps!!

I find my bike runs tons better on 40 to 50 degree days than in the 90's! :moped:

My new to me 84 aspy. I went to change the title, and get it inspected, nice little ride at 37 degrees. Next is to change the oil and belts.

Finally moved into the new building. I think theres a chance I just might have my weekends back @the end of January. Then there will be time to put into my bike. In the meantime I'm collecting parts to make this Full Dresser a complete. Lots of Vetter parts as well as NOS. Soooo close now just @ the turn. Thanks for all the help in making my Gl what it is today. Without your input an without my job none of this would be possible. :hi:. I have been back to the grind stone burning the candle an now I'm beat. :laptop: I ordered a few more things tonight to help complete. the covers should be in by the 15th I hope. Getting caught up on the many post's by others. I sent a message to Dan I would love to have a jacket patch for my leather jacket to show off to others. This was a great move to get the information strt forward an I give thanks to tho's who have. It's head to pillow time 2 more days to go.

Went out looked every thing over & unplugged battery chargers, too cold to start with tire, brake pad & fluid changes. Fans keeping things dry, shut off lites locked up, have to insulate, run gas line, fix up this old furnace retrieved from a planed trip to the scrap yard. Believe it can be made usable with out much trouble, if not same as one in the house for spare parts if ever needed. Would be nice to turn on furnace & have heat, that doesent smell like kerosene, & costs more than high test gas.

Found dyna under the cover was all set to do the swap an behold dyna. :clapping: got a few things done. also is this fuse block in backwards?

They say south of the equator water drains the opposite way, so could electric work the same way? :smilie_happy:

ahh finally got to go for a small test ride ...sheesh things went great ...as always hooch showed some good power.....come on riding time ... :yahoo:

Any idea what your top speed is on that monster?

I put some air in the tires, 5lbs. in the front and...about 35lbs. in the rear. I really couldn't feel the difference but I have been looking at the rear for about 4 days.

:Doh2:

~O~

no ... it needs some serious bike work now to bring things up to a level of going out and doing that kind of stuff ....although it seems to do well so far ... when it accelerates it feels like things are maxed out ...well better put once into it good ....its hard to stay there ... the monster hard to hang into long with any sanity....ive got lots of upgrade to do to the bike.... tires..brakes ...suspension... long ways from high speed running ...but i am sure high speed is what it will be

Like anything ; The 6 p's= Prior Planning Prevents Piss Pore Performance. Preparation is always 90% maybe more, but that's what makes it so much fun on the high speed runs. You feel the fact you did your prep work, when you run it, & it seems to love it as much as you do, & performs flawlessly.

Rode the 84 to work, 66 outside today. It was my first ride on it since I got it, it rode great. I can see lots of time riding this one. And is supposed to be warmer tomorrow.
