I am glad you told us, I thought that you might be saving up for the other three. :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

Took off the brake calipers to begin the process of unfreezing and rebuilding them. Filled gas tank with apple cider vinegar to let it soak and loosen the rust. Removed wiring harnesses from both the donor and target bike. Donor bike harness was in better shape so will use it. Enough for one day...

I used my lunch money for this week to purchase the other three sparkin bolts, i'lll go hungry but the wing will run good

i hit the road about 10:30 this morning, had to break in those new sparkin bolts. took Schafer north to I-96, everyone must have been on their way to church or something. east on I-96 and east on m-8, windy but warm. north on I-75 and a head wind plus lots of traffic. at exit 98 I headed east for holly, mi. for the rally at battle alley hogs in ministry bike blessing held in downtown holly, some pic's from the event. I met up with chris and lance before leaving holly

I took holly rd. ( exit 98 ) back to I-75 and took it north and exited at mt. morris rd. and went west to Nichols rd. made a left and there I was. cousin jeff said he was headed here with glenn and turbojim but I didn't see them. I waited for over an hour but no one showed up, it was getting very warm so I decided to head towards home so I back tracked to I-75 and headed south for flint and just rode around flit and burton, mi. for awhile. I made my way back to I-75 had headed south from there and exited the expressway at clay st. and took it around to w. grand blv. made a right turn on west grand blv. then west on tireman. I stopped at the mobil station at tireman and Wyoming and filled my tank. home is only about a mile from there. sparkin bolts are broken in 263 miles later

Zman got to my house about 8:45. Coffee and chat some then gassed up.
Headed North on I5 to Elizabeth lake.
Had a bite at Rock Inn then rode back through Santa Clarita.
A bit windy but otherwise a very nice day.

Chatted where to go next ride.
Going to explore one of the mountain range missile silo's. They are dotted all along the the tops of the mountains circling Los Angeles.

Great ride!..I just got home,Clear sailing most of the way a little traffic at the 605 so took side streets the rest of the way home..we need to find another day like this for our next ride, temp was perfect.

Not to sidetrack the thread...just wanted to post a map of the Nike missile silo locations around Los Angeles.
I think it's the Mount Gleason location I was talking about Jeff.

Had my mechanic (my son) fix the Breaks on the 1500, then he said I needed to ride it for about an hour to prevent the new grease from evaporating. :smilie_happy: So I went for a 3 hour tour. :Egyptian: :Egyptian:
Grease sure won't evaporate now....... :moped: :moped: :moped:
