 Now that would be cool.

BTW Dan is Anita coming?

~O~
Just me.

Still in the rough planning stages here but if things work out I will be there. Everyone is planning on ending up in Vegas correct? Barstow would be a heck of a detour for me. If my plans work out right will be bringing 2 wings on a trailer as there's no chance my wife could handle that long a ride on the wing

Heck yeah! There is a shorter Red Rock Canyon cruise(I have a video of that somewhere here), The run from Vegas to Bolder Dam is nice, and a bit of a longer run to the Valley of Fire can turn into a Day trip depending how long we wanna stay. All of these trips are what I consider local cruises, infact we could do the Red Rock and the Dam together in half a day. I'm really hoping we can do a night Vegas Blvd cruise, what a sight that would be for the tourists! Plus you all just have to see the strip from the road at night.

My friend and I are riding to Barstow Friday, what time do you all plan on meeting in Vegas, and are you going to be there Friday night? So are you planning day rides for Saturday the end the meet on Sunday?
We are all going to meet up in Barstow if possible by or around noon. I think the rest of Friday could be everyone getting their rooms and maybe meeting up at a casino or restaurant to plan Saturday and Sunday.

I'd like to know where everyone is staying so I can give you a heads up about that area, some are better than others.

Ideally I'd like to be in Vegas around 5-6PM Friday so whatever time we need to be in Barstow for lunch to make that.
Getting in Vegas early enough to eat and get a room, then Saturday meet up with our ride host (Randy).

I'd be totally up for a ride out somewhere Saturday and stay overnight wherever we end up.
Sound doable to you guys?

I like that Idea Dan. I'm in.
https://goo.gl/maps/zNCWJ May be more miles than you were thinking, but it is a beautiful route. Just throwing something out there.

That would be great but I'm not sure I could handle that long a trip with my hands, you guys could though if you wanted to.

*A word on hotels...please stay away from Bugdet Siutes(misspelled on purpose) and or daily/weekly/monthly furnished rental properties and motels, they are loaded with the worst Vegas has to offer and by that I mean drug addicts. The kind of people that steal anything that isn't bolted down. Please believe me, as what ever you save it isn't worth the chance.

I would recommend Sams's Town and Sunset Station(Henderson area where I live) or any of the strip properties but hotels in and near the Fremont St. Experience. Ultimately it's up to you I'm just trying to keep this Meet and Greet as positive an experience as I can.

Just talked to my friend, We have wanted to ride down 395, so we decided to Leave Thursday and take 120 through Yosemite to 395, take our time and do some sight seeing. Not sure where will stay Thursday night, but will be in Barstow before noon Friday and ride with you into Vegas.

As for Saturday, I like Dan's idea, very doable for us.

The long ride on Saturday while it sounds like fun is not something I would be able to do as there's no way my wife could handle that much riding over 2 days. Not even sure I could as have never tried it or at least not in a very long time.

I wasn't thinking a long ride.
I like to stop often, especially after coffee in the morning. Sort of required.
I'm thinking a leisurely ride out somewhere taking our time. We can play this totally by ear too, nothing is in stone.

Talking to wife about the idea of kidnapping one of our daughters and bringing her to drive pickup so wife has a way off bike if it gets to much lol main downside is I can't fit 3 on bike for short rides Lol

My wife has indicated she wants to come along, but will be driving our truck along with my friends wife. Mysteryrider your wife would be welcome to ride with our wives if they choose to come, it looks like they are planning on it at this time to keep us out of trouble, not that we would get into any. :smilie_happy:

Mysteryrider, the rides I have in mind are not long. My house to Red Rock 40 mins, my house to Boulder Dam about the same(these two could be done in the same day with lunch between), my house to Valley of Fire("Fire" pertains to the color of the rock not heat) is longer but not bad with a stop at the VOF visitor center. Some of these places require a $10 fee to enter as they are state parks.

I have a problem with numbness in my hands on long rides so if the others take off on a super long trek I'll keep you company.
