2014 West U.S CGW Meet - October 4th weekend!

So I had 2 oil spills in the garage, one was a full antifreeze container with no cap I bumped over while working on the front brakes, the other was a 5 gallon plastic container that god only knows how it got a hole poked in it at the same time :head bang:

This meant I had to (gasp!) start cleaning up the garage!
It's been way overdue and these oil spills just meant it had to be moved to top of list!
Oh well it is what it is.
Nice thing though I've straightened up enough so now I can finish the bike :clapping:

I hope it wasn't TOO hot in there! I'm so ready for cooler weather! I've got to track down an oil leak on the '83 - I think it's the front cover gasket...

I won't be making the ride this year. Injured my back and doc says no riding for at least three months. I was really looking forward to it. Hope you all have a great time.

LOL, Janet just found out why rooms are scarce. Oct 2nd thru Oct 5th is the Las Vegas Bike Fest. Looks the GoldWing will be well represented! I had no idea because I don't really follow events other than the Laughlin River Run.

Get your rooms fast!

Looks like Skiri is going to make it!
Meeting me at 9AM then we hed out.

I just talked to Randy. We'll meet in Barstow at noon with George and his son inlaw who might make the ride down.
Head to Vegas.
Weather is expected to be 60's in the morning warming up to mid 80's.

Talk shop or whatever Friday when we get there.
I'll be needing a beer or 3 and a shower by then.

Saturday going to the Bikefest. https://www.lasvegasbikefest.com/
Lotsa pics are a priority and maybe a test ride or 2. I'd like to try out a Indian.

Playing it by ear after that, maybe a ride out to the dam.

Sunday another ride, not sure yet on those details.

So it's official.
Since my wife is looking forward to some alone time, she'll be driving home alone on Sunday.
I can't blame her. All week she's dealing with 3 kids and her words were she could take her time and listen to HER music.

Skiri and I riding home Monday.
