    driving light brackets

I'm looking for a set of the flat steal driving light brackets which attach to the fairing mount bolt in the fork opening and snake out and around to the front of the fresh air vent. If anyone has a set they want to sell, please let me know, or if you have a set off the bike and could post a few...

    Poor man's driving light?

Before they started making reasonable prices chop saws, I used an old table saw with a 9" metal cutting blade. You don't want to use a good saw though, because the hot sparks will eat it up quickly. I think I bought mine for $5.00 at a yard sale.

    ebay again, handlebar risers

Handle bar risers are a funny animal, either you love them or you hate them, if you love them you use them, if you hate them you pull them off and throw them in a box under the bench forgetting about them until years later, or you throw them away as soon as you take them off the bike. I don't...

    205 lbs. compression?

From everything I've read and talking to a friend, who is a Honda mechanic, about the 1100 and 1200 wings the 1200 is a totally different bike from the 1100 and that they only look similar, and even though they might bolt up, they should not interchange, so tread carefully. The engine you break...

    Stop getting stuck at lights!

There are a couple of lights in this area that gave me trouble with my other bike, so I bought a green light trigger from JC Whitney, but it didn't help. Sense changing to the Wing, I haven't had problems with any lights, I think it is the flat broad engine that makes it easier to be picked up...

    Best advise I can give

The last clutch cable I broke was on a Lamberetta scooter in 1966 so i would say, a person could probably good their whole life without breaking a cable if they took the time to maintain them properly, especially now that the cables are plastic sheathed inside. Unless they are damaged by being...

    Best advise I can give

Some bikes are easier to shift without using the clutch then others, but usually it can be done with a little throttle manipulation. In fact it's a good idea to practice those skills now and then, in case you run into a situation where you need them. Just like using engine braking to stop a bike...

    Best advise I can give

I wish I could take credit for that bit of information, but it is just one of the things you pick-up over the years like carrying extra points and other parts you may need, but can't get when you venture two weeks from nowhere. Or breaking something on a Saturday afternoon when all the parts...

    Best advise I can give

It will save you a lot of time on the side of the road if you run the new cable along side of the old one and tie the ends up out of the way until the new cable is needed, then all you have to do is hook up the ends of the new one and your on your way.

How to remove a slow jet?, gold 1983

The 83's are removable, but they have a cap with an arm that prevents them from being over adjusted, there are several ways to remove them, the best is to remove the flout bowl and unscrew them, then you can remove the caps by heating them with a soldering iron or pencil torch this melts the...

    Winter projects

Plexis doesn't remove scratches it just covers them. For scratches you want to use Novos polishing compound, it's made for motorcycle and other similar windshields. It comes in three or four different grits and with it and some elbow grease it will work wonders with that old shield. then use the...
