been getting mid 40s to mid to low 50s on my 83 std. mostly country roads or back roads away from the traffic. bulldawg

rode the 83 std to pops on 66, a local hotspot for weekend bikers and travelers touring 66. many brands of sodas.may take her out later when it gets a little cooler.rode the Valkyrie yesterday to the same place.

rode the 83 std 15 miles for a cup of coffee then back home to mow the lawn while it was seill cool, having good weather this august for Oklahoma SURPRISE SURPRISE the grass is still green here. this dosent happen very often.going to ride her to my sons to feed his dog while he is out of town. don

after thinking about mine smoking out the right bank,it is mostly after using the choke, maybe the choke is sticking. any comments? is this possible? MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO all.

at times i nave the exact problem but mine smokes out yhe right eide mostly and to a lesser degree out the left side but it clears up after a while. like to know what you find out. don

belated follow up. sorry for the delay on this problem. decided to just ride the bike and if it blew up so be it. rechecked the voltage today and it wouldnt charge past 14.8. problem solved? the idle voltage has settled down to aronnd 14v.still high at idle but doing ok. think i have a fuel...

for got to mention before my wifes episode i got the courage toride for a coke break just to see what would happen. no blown fuses. no burned out bulbsand the battery did not get warm. of course not long ride only about 30 miles round trip. no scared of breakdown. lol latrer

sorry for the delay in posting reg change but my wife has a heart condition and she had an episode that scared the you know what out of us. did change to the 81 reg and there was no difference still almost 15v. at all rpms.

rode to pops on rt 66 for coke break,coming home got rained on but just a small amount.
