    Slime....

Hey friends, does anyone have any experience with a product for preventing flat tires called Slime? It's a green liquid that is used before a tire has problems and is supposed to coat the inside of the tire to keep it from going flat should one run over a small object like a nail. Was wondering...

Randakk's oil adaptor and Scott's SS oil filter

I have an 83 Interstate with a Randakk spin on adaptor ,( which by the way is awesome), I see that Scott's makes a stainless steel spin on oil filter (#S-4) that fits that 3/4" thread size. Has anyone used that filter on the Randakk adaptor yet and if so does it leak?

    tire pressure

on an 83 Interstate, is it preferable to go as high as 40psi on the front and rear Michelins when I'm traveling maybe 6000 miles at highway speeds fully loaded? Tire says 40psi max at full load. Or does the front always have to be lower pressure than the rear?

    It fits....

Just an FYI for you guys looking to carry some extra gas on those long trips. Napa #817-4085 2gallon gas can is on sale , I think nationally for like $9.00. It fits perfectly in the side hard bags on my 83 Interstate. So that's 4 extra gallons of piece of mind just in case. And it's protected...

    oil........again!

After talking about what are the best oils to use in our GL1100's and making sure that the container doesn't say" Energy Conserving": and that it doesn't contain any friction reducers. I looked at my Mobil1 15W-40 synthetic and it has no such labels so I guess that is good. But then I checked...

    Randakk's spin-on oil filter adaptor...

Man that is a cool adaptor ! I love things that just fit well and actually do what they claim to do. Anybody know if the Napa#1348 filter holds the same amount of oil as the old drop in cartridge did? 1983 Goldwing GL1100I.

    possible blowby into the radiator

I'm becoming more convinced after reading many forums on the causes of antifreeze dripping from under the rad cap when it's not even hot yet. It's sounding like it might be from a bad head gasket or warped head. I just rebuilt the heads changing all the bent valves after a incorrect timing belt...

    Radiator cap leak

Ok....so why would the radiator neck leak after replacing the cap. With very little pressure and not even hot yet. It dribbles out under the cap. I pressure tested the radiator and it's fine and the new cap too and it's fine. Is there a special cap depth or something that I'm overlooking? Thanks

    coolant recovery bottle

Hey friends, wanted to thank everyone who helped me solve those leaking coolant issues I had while reassembling my wing. I've got two FYI's for everyone who might run into similar issues when taking apart the coolant pipes on a 83 Goldwing GL1100. First , those two aluminum pipes use o-rings...

    cooling system pipes and flanges

Hey everyone....I'm trying to put back together my 83 GL1100 after doing a valve replacement and those two aluminum pipes that go from center to each head are giving me problems sealing. They use an o-ring on each end and at the head they fit into an aluminum elbow that bolts directly to the...
